Marie leads Microsoft’s strategic partnership agreement with the UK Government, focusing on driving large-scale public sector transformation through digital and AI innovation. She operates at a pivotal moment for technology, where rapid advancements are enabling the creation of next-generation public services that boost efficiency, accelerate economic growth, and improve outcomes for citizens. Alongside this, she co-chairs UPWARD, Microsoft’s UK Social Mobility Network, leading a community dedicated to raising aspirations and widening access to technology careers.

Previously, as the Greater Manchester Region Lead for Microsoft, Marie led the place-based strategy for one of the UK’s largest devolved regions, working across public, private, and third sector organisations to drive inclusive economic growth, public service transformation, and progress towards net zero. During this time, she also established and co-chaired Microsoft’s Northwest Social Impact team, growing a volunteer community of over 150 members supporting local initiatives.

Marie is deeply committed to social mobility and widening access to opportunities in technology. Her current contributions include:

  • Industry panels, roundtables, or insight sessions exploring real-world challenges and trends in technology and public services
  • Mentoring or coaching students interested in careers in technology, digital government, consulting, or leadership
  • Collaboration on applied projects or case studies connecting students with real-world digital transformation initiatives and societal challenges
  • Initiatives promoting social mobility, inclusion, and diversity in the technology sector—particularly those broadening access for underrepresented groups
  • Events that bring academia and industry together to explore emerging technologies, skills development, and the future of public services.
