) has released the names of 14 projects to be included in this exciting initiative that aims to address the skills gap for residents who wish to enter careers in the creative, digital and technology sectors.

The University will be leading a �������� Consortium, alongside other industry partners, demonstrating its established industry collaboration strategy in action.  The lead industry partner in the Consortium is BUPA, along with �������� City Council, Talk Talk, Sodexo and the BBC. Talking about the programme BUPA said: “We are proud to be the lead employer for the �������� Digital Fast Track fund and to be supporting the development of talent for our community.”

The University will be delivering a Digital Data Specialist Training programme for up to 30 participants targeting those from non-technical backgrounds or those that are looking to upskill in their roles.

Mo Saraee, Professor of Data Science and lead academic for the programme said: “It is fantastic to be recognised for our experience in Big Data Analytics. The course will be a 90-hour programme and will be primarily taught virtually.  There is Lab based content that will be delivered in small groups at our MediaCityUK Campus. The course has been designed to fully prepare participants for an exciting career in the technology sector.  It has been a real team effort in collaboration with our industry partners led by BUPA.  All partners will be hosting masterclass sessions, a live brief will be set by and the BBC will be delivering sessions in CV writing and interview skills.”

Successful participants of the course will be guaranteed interviews for roles by partners of the Consortium.
