Organised annually by �������� colleagues and co-led by students, this year’s event draws from the four schools and alumni community in addition to external speakers.

The event will cover topics including: ‘anything is possible’, ‘how to define a human’ and ‘overcoming adversity’. 
From the University the speakers for this year include Professor Yeliz Prior (School of Health and Society), Dr Arijit Mukhopadhyay (School of Science, Engineering and Environment), Nadine Watson (�������� Business School), David Savill (School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology) and , a PhD student. 

Amongst the external speakers is Steve Robinson, a one-armed pilot and Tulsi, a public speaker who survived a plane crash at the age of 10.

This year, the event will be hosted by Professor Andy Miah with Anna-Maria White, and Dr Emma Barnes co-hosting the event

Mus’haf Khan a postgraduate researcher, who is part of the organising committee, said: “TEDxUniversityof�������� offers a platform that matters; it's about more than just exchanging ideas. It involves building a community where individuals may assemble to share knowledge, find inspiration, and effect change. We are dedicated to selecting speakers at the �������� who will provoke thought, motivate us to act, and provide both academic and emotional stimulation. I think TEDx has the potential to change the world for the better.”

In addition to the support received from the Deans of the four schools, doctoral school, Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) and the alumni office, this year’s event is also supported by the Knowledge Exchange Fellows. Holly Flynn-Piercy, one of the Fellows, said: “Collaborating on the TEDx �������� event has been a wonderful experience. In working together to deliver an impactful event we have already achieved what we hope to enable for attendees: learning new things, meeting new people, sharing knowledge, making connections, challenging and questioning and even beginning to think about how to change the world around us!”
