Lewis, from Wrexham, has now worked at the Class of 92 owned �������� City FC for last three seasons, gaining valuable knowledge and experience with the Academy and B Team, as well as supporting the First Team Performance Analyst with filming at training.

�������� City Football Club are a professional football club that compete in League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system, after achieving promotion from the National League in the 2018–19 season.

On his role at ��������, Lewis said: “I'd recommend aspiring performance analysts to take on the Sports Science (Performance Analysis) course at �������� because it has a variety of modules which allows students to have a greater understanding of science in sport which further helps to understand analysis and conduct analysis.

“The University also has great contacts with clubs in the North West, which is beneficial in gaining experience as an analyst.”

Mark Quinn, Lecturer in Sports Science & Performance Analysis, said: "Lewis was proactive in gaining valuable experience early on in his time with us at �������� and it's great to see him progress onto the MSc Performance Analysis in Sport degree.

"On the MSc we strongly promote a contemporary performance analysis skill set alongside cornerstone scientific training. The experience Lewis is gaining with �������� City FC will enable him to bring to life what he is learning in his studies.

"Allied to this practice he is developing knowledge and understanding of how to create a valid and reliable performance analysis research project. He is doing everything he can to really get the most out of his time at the University."

The MSc in Performance Analysis at the University is the only Performance Analysis master's degree in the North West of England, with students having access to industry standard Performance Analysis equipment and the opportunity to learn from industry professionals.
