New employability initiatives for students in the School of Health and Society

In responses to your feedback, the School of Health and Society has introduced a series of activities to support students in building their employability skills. These initiatives, led by the Employability Advisor for Non-Allied Health PMEP programmes, are open to students across various programmes and schools.

Key employability activities include

  • Lunchtime boost talks with guest speakers on voluntary, paid, and placement opportunities.
  • Weekly Employability Table for advice and opportunities.
  • Summer Pop-Up Job Shop.
  • Induction/Welcome Week Pop-Up Job Shop.

1-2-1 Employability Appointments including

  • Guidance on paid opportunities and placements.
  • Voluntary roles to boost skill sets.
  • CV checks and referrals to careers, self-employment (Launch), wellbeing, and more.
