Our employability hub supports undergraduate and postgraduate students across all business disciplines and law.

Our drop-ins are in room 624, Maxwell Building. These take place from 14:00-16:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 10:00-12:00 on Wednesday and Friday.

We host events across the academic year. This includes our Employability Week which takes place in trimester 1 and 2. Students can engage with industry partners through:

  • live presentations
  • speed networking
  • interactive workshops.

School of Science, Engineering & Environment

As part of the employability offer, SEE offers a Year in Industry option within the majority of undergraduate programmes. HackCamp allows students to work on an intensive software development project with a live client.

The Maker Space offers students the chance to develop skills using equipment for academic or personal projects, including:

  • 3D printers
  • laser-cutting machines
  • electronic circuit boards

Placement drop-ins are weekly during term-time. They take place at the SEE building from 13:00-15:30 on Wednesdays.
