Biography
I hold qualifications in Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Protection. I also hold qualifications in teaching and computing. I worked at the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× for almost 29 years. I retired in August 2020 and was honored by the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Senate with the lifetime title ‘Professor Emeritus’, for my work at the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× and for my professional work in medical imaging.
Whilst at º£½ÇÂÒÂ× I held a range of responsibilities, including: MSc Nuclear Medicine Programme Leader, Head of Department (Radiography), Head of Research Centre (Health Sciences), Associate Dean Research (Health Sciences / Health and Society) and Research Lead for Diagnostic Imaging. Over my career, I have sat on many local, national and international professional committees in medical imaging.
I have won and/or been nominated for a range of awards, for example: Times Higher Education Award (2), Fellow of the College of Radiographers, Gold Medal of the College of Radiographers, ‘many’ best paper awards at conference and best paper awards in journals.
