Biography
Audiovisual Design Engineer | Lecturer | Soundscape Design & Acoustic Ecology | Bridging Research & Real-World Systems
Panos Tsagkarakis is a researcher and audio systems engineer working at the intersection of acoustics research and real-world audiovisual systems. His research centres on personalised immersive soundscapes and the psychophysical evaluation of their perceptual, emotional, cognitive, and physiological effects. He holds a PhD from the AudioLab, University of York (personalised immersive soundscapes supporting children with ADHD), and through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× he led the design of a personalised sound-masking system, work that produced his most recent JASA publication and two filed patents.
He is currently an Audiovisual Design Engineer at TELMACO (Athens), designing and integrating complex AV systems including immersive CAVE environments, and has taught acoustic ecology and soundscape design as a contract lecturer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
