Biography

Dr Mohammad Hajsadeghi is a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and MSc and PhD degrees in Structural Engineering, completing his PhD at the University of Liverpool. Prior to joining º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, where he worked on the EPSRC-funded SHUTTERING project, a multi-million-pound research programme developing innovative formwork systems and sustainable concrete construction technologies for more efficient and environmentally sustainable construction.

Before entering academia, Dr Hajsadeghi gained around a decade of professional experience in structural design, construction engineering, and site management. He has published widely in reputable peer-reviewed journals and has established an international research profile with more than 700 citations on Google Scholar and an h-index of 12. He is the co-inventor of a patented spirally deformed steel fibre, which was selected as a finalist in the University of Auckland's Velocity Innovation Competition in 2017 in recognition of its commercialisation potential.

At the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, Dr Hajsadeghi is the Module Leader for the undergraduate Structures E2 module, covering Structural Analysis and Reinforced Concrete Design, and also teaches other Structural Engineering modules and Engineering Mathematics. He has also taught A-level Mathematics and Physics at college.
