Biography

Dr Melanie Stephens, BSc (Hons), MA, PGCAP, PhD, QN, is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Adult Nursing in the School of Health and Society at the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network North West Settings Lead (RSSL) for Residential and Visiting Professor at Trinity College Dublin

Areas of Research

My research interests include social care nursing, interprofessional education and practice (IPE/P), tissue viability, frugal innovation, virtual wound care clinics and pressure ulcer prevention and management.

Teaching

In my role as associate professor I teach and supervise students undertaking post graduate studies at masters and doctoral level. I am a member of the Tissue Viability and Leg Ulcer Module and I also contribute to the undergraduate tissue viability and IPE activities.
