Biography
Dr. Kate Han is a Lecturer in Digital Business at º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Business School, º£½ÇÂÒÂ×. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, simulation and optimisation, digital twins, machine learning, and data engineering, with applications in intelligent transport systems, sustainability, and digital transformation. She also has a strong interest in innovative teaching and learning and the responsible adoption of AI in higher education.
Dr. Han received her PhD in Software Engineering from Queen's University Belfast in 2018. She has published in leading journals, including Knowledge-Based Systems and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and presented her research at international conferences such as IEEE CEC, GECCO, Eurocast, and ACIIDS. She works closely with academic, industry, and public-sector partners to develop AI-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
