Biography
Dr. Chris Tsang is a University Fellow at the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× in a prestigious 5-year fellowship programme, holding a permanent position. He was a Research Fellow at Leeds Beckett University, leading thermal bridging modelling for the DEEP project, and holds a PhD from Loughborough University, focusing on energy simulation for retrofitting Chinese residential buildings. His expertise lies in building modelling and simulation, focusing primarily on calibrating building energy models. Other areas of research interest for Chris include multi-objective optimization, solar thermal and PV modelling, retrofit analysis, overheating analysis, thermal bridging modelling, and hygrothermal modelling. He is also a co-organiser of the International Retrofit Conference 2025. He is first author of four peer-reviewed journal papers and three international conference papers. He is currently focused on modelling and performance analysis of homes in the Energy House 2 facilities.
