Biography
As an 鈥淓ngineering University Teacher鈥 at the 鈥満=锹衣租, I am dedicated to shaping the future of Mechanical Engineering education. Having earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing and Production), my research breakthroughs have centered on thermal-based forming of metallic sheets, challenging conventional methods (2011 - 2016).
In my previous role as a post-doc 鈥淩esearch Fellow鈥 at the 鈥淯niversity of Strathclyde鈥 (2022 - 2023), I led groundbreaking research in "Process Modelling for Metal Deformation Involving High Plasticity". Our work, published in reputable journals, significantly contributes to pushing the boundaries of mechanical engineering knowledge.
I am proud to be endorsed as a 鈥淕lobal Talent鈥 by the 鈥淩oyal Academy of Engineering鈥 in 2022, recognizing my impactful contributions to the field.
In my role as a university teacher, my goal is to instill a profound understanding of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing principles. With an extensive background as an 鈥淎ssistant Professor鈥 (2014 鈥 2022), I bring years of teaching experience to my current position, delivering diverse modules such as (1) Mechanical Systems, (2) Mechanics of Materials, (3) Non-destructive Testing, (4) Material Science, (5) Principals of Metal Forming, and more. I implement innovative methodologies, including project-based learning and industry collaboration, to provide students with a comprehensive and industry-relevant education. By integrating the latest industry trends into the curriculum, I aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, preparing our graduates for success in the modern engineering landscape.
As of 2024, I continue to push the boundaries of knowledge and application, strategically positioned to redefine the educational landscape.
Areas of Research
My research focuses on specific domains, including:
(1) Thermo-mechanical forming process of sheet metals and metal-matrix composites (specifically, laser forming process);
(2) Analysis and optimization of conventional manufacturing processes (i.e., flow forming, deep drawing, hot metal gas forming, rubber pad forming, incremental forming, roll forming, and tube hydroforming);
(3) Mechanical characterization of composites/nano-composite materials; and
(4) Analysis of machining processes
