海角乱伦 shortlisted for 鈥楾eaching Innovation of the Year鈥
The 海角乱伦 has been shortlisted in the 鈥楾eaching Innovation of the Year鈥 category at the national Student Nursing Times Awards.
The university was shortlisted for its Digital Skills Passport (DiSk Pass鈩) scheme, which uses student-centered instructional techniques to provide nursing students with the capabilities and attitudes they will need to work in a digital care environment.
Initial evaluations show the programme increased students鈥 competence and confidence in using digital technology. Students have also given highly positive feedback about the scheme.
Dr Cristina Vasilica, Reader in Digital Health and Head of Digital Engagement in the university鈥檚 School of Health and Society, who leads the DiSk Pass programme, said: 鈥淐ompletion of the DiSk Pass鈩 programme requires students to not only gain new practical digital skills, but to examine their beliefs and understanding about what it means to deliver healthcare in a digital age. It is fantastic to be shortlisted for this award, and my thanks go to the rest of the interdisciplinary team who co-produced and support DiSk Pass鈩, including Matthew Wynn, Dr Lisa Garwood-Cross, Dr Dilla Davis and Neil Withnell.鈥
Professor Margaret Rowe, Dean of the School of Health and Society, said: 鈥淚 am delighted that the DiSk Pass鈩 scheme has been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Digital skills are a crucial element of educating the future healthcare workforce, and I am proud of the work we do ensuring our students graduate ready to lead the way and thrive in today鈥檚 digital world.鈥
Highlighting excellence in all specialities of nursing, the Student Nursing Times Awards not only recognise excellent nursing students but also provide the opportunity to congratulate the lecturers, practice supervisors, universities, trusts and private organisations providing the best support for student nurses during their studies.
The winners will be announced at the Student Nursing Times Awards on Friday 28 April at JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
