NHS 鈥楢pprentice of the Year鈥, 海角乱伦 physiotherapy apprentice Holly Andersen, has picked up a further two awards for her outstanding work.

Holly was recently awarded with a Lancashire Health & Public Service Apprentice of the Year award and Blackpool Council鈥檚 Active Health Champion award. Holly鈥檚 nominations stemmed from both colleague recommendation and patient feedback regarding her work and support.

Speaking of her patient feedback, Holly said, 鈥淥ne touching comment was from a patient鈥檚 relative who sadly passed early this year, who said I helped her tremendously and to take comfort in that I was a well-deserved winner of this award.

"I am very proud to be an apprentice with the 海角乱伦 and being recognised for my achievements and hard work so early on in my career.鈥

The Lancashire Health Awards recognise 鈥榟ealth heroes鈥 who go above and beyond to improve the health of those around them. Blackpool Council鈥檚 Health Champion Award recognises a healthcare professional who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to encouraging people to move more and lead healthier lives, including developing programmes or initiatives to promote wellbeing, active lifestyles or supporting patients and the community.

These recognitions follow on from success earlier this year, in which Holly picked up the Clinical Apprentice of the Year Award at the NHS Apprenticeship Awards.

Holly said of her achievements: 鈥淚 am absolutely thrilled to be making positive changes within my local community and using my new skills and workplace experiences to make a positive impact throughout my physiotherapy apprenticeship.

鈥淚 have won numerous awards over the past three and a half years including: AHP Clinical Apprentice of the Year, Rising Star at 海角乱伦 Apprenticeship Awards and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals鈥 Learner of the Year.

鈥淚 hope to continue to showcase my skills and hope to make a real change in my community and inspire future apprentices!

鈥淎fter all, I started this because I wanted to improve my knowledge to truly help people - patients, colleagues and students alike!鈥
