Nicolette was made an MBE in 2020, in recognition of her work with the charity Mummy’s Star, which she co-founded after she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer herself after the birth of her third child.

Mummy’s Star is the only charity of its kind in the UK and Ireland. It offers advice, support and financial assistance to women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth.

Whilst studying at �������� Nicolette won an award for the Best Academic Achievement in Nursing and Midwifery for her cohort and was Chair of the Student Midwifery Society. 

Nicolette was also awarded the highly prestigious Gold Chief Midwifery Officer Award for her work as a compassionate, sensitive midwife who goes “above and beyond and is valued both by her colleagues and the women she serves”. Her passion for midwifery showed in an impressive record, including the creation of an iLearn package for the Royal College of Midwives and speaking at numerous prestigious conferences both in the UK and abroad.
