The BBC Digital Cities series is back this week! With two fantastic online panel discussions, in collaboration with the 海角乱伦 and available for free to students, staff and alumni.

鈥淚t's BBC Events & Live TV up North! Home grown talent pipelines explored鈥 Wednesday 23rd March (1pm-2pm)

The session will discuss the impact of shows such as Morning Live, Comic Relief, Children in Need and now Eurovision, have had on developing production talent in the North West. The panel will explore hidden roles, the growth of regional production bases and how you can get started in your career in television production.

鈥淔orever Young: Behind the scenes of young adult scripted TV in the North鈥 Thursday 24th March (1pm-2pm)

The session will explore the impact young adult dramas have on their audiences, how they push boundaries through storytelling and the power they have to represent diversity and inclusion. Through discussing shows such as The Dumping Ground, Sex Education and Waterloo Road the panel will also highlight the importance of nurturing teen talent both on camera and behind the scenes
